Dr. Dara Latner provides routine eye exams for all ages and offers preventive care and management for eye diseases such as dry eye disease, diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, and glaucoma.
Dr. Latner began working in the optometric field in 2008 as an optician at a retail company. Over her career, she worked for both private and retail offices and managed multiple teams of opticians until deciding to attend optometry school in 2015.
Dr. Latner graduated from Missouri Valley High School in Missouri Valley, Iowa, in 2006 and completed her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Phoenix in 2010. In 2015, Dr. Latner returned to school to earn her Doctor of Optometry degree from Indiana University School of Optometry and graduated in 2019.
During her time at Indiana University, she was active in various clubs and was an assistant instructor for multiple classes. She served the community of Bloomington by offering free vision screenings at various elementary schools in the city with ages ranging from kindergarten to 5th grade.
In her free time, Dara enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband and two children, visiting family, and having movie nights.
